WRIT OF POSSESSION

One of the problems with the WRIT is timing. The Constables who enforce the WRIT, they usually do not give me more than 24 hours and most cases several hours notice. Then I have to drop what I am doing or get someone to go in my place and stand there while they pack up the house into boxes. Everything is video taped, recorded and cataloged, for their legal protection, so this can take some time depending on the size of the house and the amount of furniture. Therefore you understand the problem and the reason for the cost. You will then have 7 days to change the locks. The Constables prefer, and I agree based on experience, that you change it right then so as not to allow the tenant to get back in the house. They have been known to come back and get in the house to cause more problems.
