What was the outcome? Where are we with trying to attach any assests? How does the Abstract of Judgment work?
Answer:
The judgment was for $5687.50
We are getting the Abstract of Judgment. It does not attach any assets. It only puts on record that they owe you money as a Judgment rendered from the JP Court. It keeps them from getting valid loans. So if they go to buy a house or car and need a loan they will not get it until they have settled the judgment with you.
If you can find assets that they have then you can ask the court to go and seize those assets. But the court leaves this up to you.
